Dating back to around the 1920s, this is a combination of wonderful Virginias, excellent Orientals and enough Latakia for a robust and flavorful mixture. This brand of pipe tobacco was originally produced by Sobranie of London in 1920 and became a top-selling brand worldwide, but it disappeared in 1989 to the disappointment of English-blend smokers worldwide. The pipe tobacco is now made by J.F. Germain Son.
